LIGHT SENSOR
The automatic lighting feature is
controlled by a sensor located on top
of the dashboard. Do not cover this
sensor or spill liquid on it.
When there is a problem with the
automatic lighting feature, you will
see the symbol ''
symbol with a ''CHECK SYSTEM''
message on the multi-information
display.
Automatic Lighting Off Feature
(For some types)
The Automatic Lighting Off feature
turns off the headlights, parking
lights, tail-lights and licence plate
light within 15 seconds of removing
the key from the ignition switch and
closing the driver's door.
The automatic lighting off feature
activates if you leave the headlight
switch in the ''
position or if the lights are turned on
by setting the switch in the ''AUTO''
position, turn the ignition switch to
the LOCK (0) position, then open
and close the driver's door.
If you turn the ignition switch to the
LOCK (0) position with the
headlight switch on, but do not open
the door and get out, the lights turn

off after 10 minutes (3 minutes, if
the switch is in the ''AUTO''
position).
Controls Near the Steering Wheel
The lights turn on again when you
unlock or open the driver's door. If
you unlock the door, but do not open
it within 15 seconds, the lights go off.
With the driver's door open, you will
hear a lights-on reminder chime.
