Record a Song & save it to disk
This section takes you through the basic steps
required to record a simple multi-track Song and
save it to disk.
For detailed explanations on Song, Song/Style
and Style recording and editing, refer to the ap-
propriate chapters of the Reference Guide.

RECORD THE SONG

1. Press the REAL SONG button in the STYLE/SONG
GROUPS section.
The display shows the available Song Group
locations as "Free".
2. Select a FREE location.
Use the corresponding Function button. WK3
now sets to Song Mode. One of the tracks
(shown flashing in the Sequencer) will be
active to play in real time.
3. Press RECORD in the SEQUENCER section.
The leds of the RECORD button and the
Track 1 button start to flash. The display also
shows track 1 (Program Change) flashing,
indicating that it is in "record pending" status.
Track 1 will play a Drumkit.
Note: Track 1 is assigned a Drumkit and MIDI
Channel 10 by default, in order that you can record
a Song that complies with GM standards.
Note: The Song can be given a name using
the PERF NAME function in the Edit Performance
section. The procedure is explained in detail in the
«Sounds and Performances" chapter 4.
