Sending Problems
Your document is not sent after you place your originals and dial the recipient's fax/telephone
number.
Cause 1
Is the machine overheated?
Remedy
Press the main power switch to OFF ("O" side) and wait approximately 5
minutes. The main power switch is located on the right side of the machine.
Cause 2
Did you just connect the power cord to the machine?
Remedy
Wait a few moments, and then try sending again. The machine is not able to
scan documents immediately after the power cord is connected.
Cause 3
Is the telephone line connected properly?
Remedy
Make sure the telephone line connection is secure. (See "Connecting the
Telephone Line," on p. 1-16.)
Cause 4
Is your machine set to the correct telephone line type (pulse or tone)?
Remedy
Check the telephone line type and set the machine to the correct type. (See
"Selecting the Type of Telephone Line," on p. 1-17.)
Cause 5
Is your machine in Copy mode?
Remedy
Press [FAX] to switch the machine to Fax mode.
