    Coded Speed Dialing Coded speed dialing enables you to start a document transmission by pressing [Coded Dial] followed by a three-digit code. NOTE A maximum of 201 destinations can be specified at the same time.

    Group Dialing The Group Dialing feature enables you to dial a group of up to 199 registered one-touch or coded speed dialing numbers as a single destination. This feature is useful if you frequently send documents to the same registered destinations. IMPORTANT To use this dialing method, you must first register destinations for one-touch/coded speed dialing.

    Delaying a Send Job The Delayed Send mode enables you to store a send job in memory, and have it sent at a later time. NOTE • You can reserve up to 70 fax jobs for delayed sending.     Receiving Faxes You can receive fax documents automatically. Receiving Faxes While Performing Operations The machine can receive faxes while it is performing other operations. If you receive a fax while the machine is performing certain operations, the machine stores the incoming fax in memory, and the fax document is printed as soon as the machine completes the current operation.

    Error Codes Errors in reports are recorded as error code numbers because there is not enough space to print a detailed description of the error in the report. If the copy is spotted or dirty, clean the platen glass, the feeder scan area, and the read area of the platen glass.

    Errors occur frequently while sending. Cause Is the telephone line in proper condition? Do you have a good telephone line connection? Remedy Lower the transmission speed. Cause 1 If you are feeding paper from the stack bypass to print received documents, are the slide guides in the stack bypass set to the correct paper size?

Remedy Remove your toner cartridge and gently tilt it from side to side five or six times to redistribute the remaining toner. If this does not solve the problem, replace the toner cartridge.

Address Book Enables you to look up the other party’s name and retrieve the number registered to the one-touch speed dialing, coded speed dialing, or group dialing. This feature is convenient when you know the other party’s name but cannot recall the speed dialing number where the number is registered.

The destination and length of the pause differ depending on the system.
