When you replace the print head, start by removing the ink ribbon.
You might want to refer to Figure 10-4 as you follow these steps:
Warning: The print head will be hot during operation and soon
afterward, so be careful not to burn yourself.

Extract the head cable from the head
connector. (Hold down the head cable
board while performing this disconnec-
tion.)
Remove the two clamping screws from the
print head.
Detach the print head.
