The device automatically enters Live View mode when powered on. It is also at the very top of the menu hierarchy, thus right-clicking the mouse many times (depending on which menu you’re on) brings you to the Live View mode.

In the live view mode, once a motion detection event takes place, the device can analyze it and perform some response actions to handle it. Enabling motion detection function can trigger certain channels to start recording, or trigger full screen monitoring, audible warning, notify the surveillance center and so on.
