Procedure for Removal of Compressor

Procedure
Step
1. Remove the soundproof
cover
Remove the hook and
1
loop fastener from the
three places to remove
the compressor head
cover.
Remove the hook and
2
loop fastener from the
three places to pull out
the compressor
soundproof cover.
2. Remove the crank case
heater

Remove the coil spring to
pull out the crank case
heater.
3. Remove the compressor
1
Remove the compressor
terminal cover.

Disconnect the lead wire
from the compressor
terminal area.

Unscrew three bolts that
fix the compressor.
4
Cut the discharge pipe
(A) and suction pipe (B)
using a pipe cutter.
5
Lift the compressor and
pull it toward you.
6
Remove brazing from the
remaining piping.
Removal Procedure
Warning
Be sure to commence the disassembling work after 10 minutes or
more elapsed from all power supplies have been turned off.

Preparations
• Remove the front panel
according to the procedure
for the removal related to the
outside panel.
• Remove the electrical
component box according to
the procedure for removing
the electrical component
assembly.
Before working, make sure
that the refrigerant is
completely removed.
Precautions for mounting the
crank case heater
• Avoid overlap with the
welded part of the
compressor.
• Place the coil spring for the
heater between the lead
wires.

When the piping is cut, oil
comes out.
Before cutting the piping, place
rag under the piping for the
purpose of curing.
