Searching for an Item in the
Phonebook
You can search for an item in the phonebook, and then
make a call.
1.
While in standby mode, press [ ] or

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the desired item.

Searching by Name
You can also search for an item in the phonebook by
entering a name:

While in standby mode, press [ ] or

Enter the name or the first character(s) of the
desired name, and then press

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the desired item.

Searching by Category
If items in the phonebook have been assigned
categories, you can search by category.
1.
While in standby mode, press [ ] or

Press [ ] or [ ] to select a category, and then

Enter the name or the first character(s) of the
desired name of the item in the category, and then
press
.
5.
Press [ ] or [ ] to select the desired item.

Note
If one item has multiple phone numbers stored,
you can press the [CENTRE] navigation key,
and then press [ ] or [ ] to select the desired
phone number for that item.
Characters that are entered using the # key (for
example, "$") cannot be entered when
searching the phonebook.

"Entering Characters (Page 42)".
