Note
If there is no paper set in the same orienta-
tion in the paper tray as the original, change
the paper size (orientation) of the second
tray. See ⇒ Page 86 "CHANGING A PA-
PER SIZE."
Set A3 and B4(11" × 17" and 81/2" × 14")
portrait originals with the top side facing
left. In this case, set the even pages (pages
to be copied on the back side of paper) up
side down.

Press the [Duplex/Series Copies] key.
2 Make sure that 1 Sided→ → → → → 2 Sided is se-
lected.
Note
If 1 Sided→2 Sided is not selected, press
the [1 Sided→2 Sided] key.

When the number of originals is
known
A Press [Even] or [Odd] key.
B Set your originals and press the {Start}
key.
Note
Set the originals sequentially starting at the
last page when setting them on the expo-
sure glass.
When the number of originals is
unknown
A Press [Autocount] key.
B Set your originals in the document feeder
and press the [Start Count] key.
The number of originals is shown when
counting is completed.
C Press the [OK] key.
D Reset your originals in the document
feeder and press the {Start} key.
