Low Power Mode

When the machine moves to the Low Power mode, the fuser unit is turned OFF after a
certain period of time. This mode enables power consumption to be minimized by turning
the fuser unit OFF.
You can change the timer settings in the Low-power Mode Time function. (See the
Reference Manual, Low-power Mode Time p. 3-33.)
Energy Saver
The
key lights while the machine is in the Low Power mode.
Energy Saver
Press the
key, the
mode. Pressing the control panel power switch has the same effect.
The power consumption in the Low Power mode is approximately 138 W.
MEMO:
It will take up to 4 minutes until the machine returns to regular operation.

Sleep Function/Auto Sleep Function

■ Sleep Function
If you press the control panel power switch OFF, the dis-
play in the touch panel display disappears, and the ma-
chine enters the Sleep mode.
Setting the machine to the Sleep mode allows you to save
energy. Press the control panel power switch ON to return
the machine from the Sleep mode. The screen appears in
the touch panel display.
The power consumption in the Sleep mode is approxi-
mately 55 W.
MEMO:
When the printer functions are installed, this machine can receive as well as print out jobs in the Sleep
mode. After the machine has finished printing out, it returns to the Sleep mode.
It will take up to 4 minutes until the machine returns to regular operation.
■ Auto Sleep Function
If the machine is not operated for a certain period of time after copies have been made or
keys have been performed, the control panel power switch automatically goes OFF, and the
machine enters the Sleep mode.
You can change the timer settings in the Auto Sleep Time function. (See the Reference
Manual, Auto Sleep Time p. 3-30.)
Press the control panel power switch ON to return the machine from the Sleep mode.
