Chapter 7 Troubleshooting

Service-call Messages

If a malfunction occurs and the machine will not
operate normally, a Service-call Message like the
one on this screen appears.
If this message appears, follow the procedures
described below.
WARNING
❍ Do not insert or unplug the power plug with wet hands, as this may result in an electrical shock.
CAUTION
❍ Always grasp the plug portion when unplugging the power plug. Pulling on the power cord may expose or
snap the core wire, or otherwise damage the power cord. If the cord is damaged, this could cause an
electricity leak and result in a fire or electrical shock.
❍ Leave sufficient space around the power plug so that it can be unplugged easily. If objects are placed
around the power plug, you may be unable to unplug it in an emergency.

Turn the main power switch to the OFF
position. Wait for more than three seconds,
then turn it back to the ON position.

If the machine still does not operate properly even after step 1 has been
performed, be ready to supply the displayed error code and turn the control
panel power switch OFF, turn the main power switch to the OFF position, and
then unplug the power cord. Then, contact your service representative and
inform of the error code.
