THE SUBJECT THAT IS DIFFICULT TO FOCUS IN THE AUTOFOCUS MODE
The autofocus mode uses the image contrast (the difference of light and dark parts) on the CCD
(Charge Coupled Device) to focus. Therefore, autofocus mode may not be able to adjust correctly on
some subjects (see examples below). In this case, use the focus lock function (see page 37) once you
focus on another subject which is at the same distance as the subject you want to take the picture of,
or use the manual focus mode (adjust the focus manually, see page 39).
