Flash Range
The range of the built-in flash is approximately 0.4 to 3m. The flash illuminates wide angle
and telephoto shots.

The flash fires automatically when the light level is low or the
subject is backlit.
The flash fires every time a picture is taken regardless of the
brightness.
Select this mode to reduce the harsh shadows when you take the
picture outdoor and the subject's face is shaded by something like
a hat.
The flash does not fire. Select this mode when taking a picture in a
location where flash photography is prohibited, such as in a
museum.
The flash fires a short burst 2 times before the main flash burst to
reduce the red-eye phenomenon. Select this mode when taking
a picture of people or animals in the dark.
The flash fires even in long shutter night mode, to get satisfied
exposure on subject and background.
