Interface Card for Connecting Hard Disk Drive

The CPU blade can contain an interface card of the following types for connecting hard disk drives.
N8403-026 RAIDcontroller
Controller supporting hardware RAID. Contains one channel (two ports per channel) of
SAS/SATA interface connector.
N8403-027 SATA interface card
Card supporting software RAID. Contains one channel (two ports per channel) of SATA
interface connector.
IMPORTANT:
The interface card for connecting hard disk drive is extremely
sensitive to static electricity. Make sure to touch the metal frame of
the server to discharge static electricity from your body before
handling the interface card. Do not touch the terminals and parts on
the interface card by a bare hand and place the cards directly on the
desk. For static notes, see the section "Anti-static Measures"
described earlier.
A combination of the card and hard disk drives that can be installed
in the CPU blade under certain restrictions. Contact your service
representative for details.
Notes
Note the followings in the installation or removal of the interface card.
Be careful not to make your hands touch the terminals of the interface card connector
directly. If you do not keep it, the oil and/or dirt on the hands may adhere to the terminals
to result in contact failure.
The interface card for connecting hard disk drive is the required option. Be sure to install
either of N8403-026 or N8403-027.
