3. Using the Bar Code Printer

3.1 Setting Up the Printer

1. Make sure the power is off.
2. Connect the Centronics or RS-232 cable to corresponding ports or at the rear of
printer. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer.
3. Plug the power cord into the power jack at the rear of the printer, and then plug
the power cable into a properly grounded wall outlet.

3.2 Installing the Label

1. Insert the spindle into the core of the label roll.
2. With the print surface facing up, place the label roll spindle onto the slots of label
roll mount supports.
3. Insert and push the label into the label insert opening until it stops.
4. Hold down the FEED button until the front edge of the label feeds about half an
inch out of the printer's label dispense opening .
