Creating an Email Account

Note: If you want to set up a Microsoft Exchange email
account, or one that uses a specific exchange server,
see "Setting up a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
Account" on page 92
1. From a Home screen, touch
2. At the Set up email screen, enter an Email address and
Password, then touch Next.
Note: If you are not sure about what value a setting should
have, contact your Email Service Provider for more
information.
3. Touch the account type: POP3 account, IMAP account,
or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
4. Touch OK at the Activation screen.
5. Touch OK at the Remote security administration screen.
6. Select account options from pull-down menus from the
Account options screen and touch Next.
7. Touch Activate after reading the Activate device
administrator? screen.
Apps Email.
8. Enter a name for this account at the Set up email
screen, and tap Done.
Email messages load and display in the Inbox. This
may take a few minutes.
Setting up a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
Account
Use the following procedure to configure your tablet to
synchronize with a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account.
1. From a Home screen, touch
Your accounts screen displays with an Email setup
screen displayed.
2. Enter you email address in the Email address field.
3. Enter your password in the Password field.
4. Touch Show password if you want to see your
password as it is typed.
5. Touch Manual setup at the top right of the screen.
6. Touch the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync field.
7. Enter all the Exchange server information, Domain/
Username, Password, and Exchange server, then touch
Next.
