9. MIni App Tray: Shortcuts to apps that you can use
anytime, such as such as: Alarm, Email, Music player,
Pen memo, and World clock. For more information,
refer to "Mini App Tray" on page 29.
10. Primary Shortcuts. These shortcuts display on the
device by default. You can add your own shortcuts. For
more information, refer to "App Shortcuts" on page
27.
11. System Bar: The area along the bottom of the Home
screen where you can find navigation buttons and
icons that display notifications, time, connection
status, and battery power.
12. Notification Icons: Displays icons that reflect system
notifications or application notifications. Touch a
Notification Icon to display details. For a list of icons,
see "Status Bar" on page 24.
13. Time/Quick Settings: Displays the current time. For
more information, refer to "Date and Time" on page
127. Touch to display the Quick Settings panel.

14. Status Icons: Indicate the status of the tablet. Touch the
Status Icons area to display the Quick Settings panel.

Note: Network status icons turn blue if you have a Google
Account added to your tablet and the tablet is connected
to Google services for syncing your Gmail, Calendar
events, contacts, backing up your settings, and more. If
you do not have a Google Account or if, for example, you
are connected to a Wi-Fi network that is not connected
to the Internet, the network icons are gray.
Home Screen Overview
The main home screen is the starting point for many
applications and functions, and it allows you to add items
like application icons, shortcuts, folders, or widgets to give
you instant access to information and applications.
