Synchronizing Accounts
Auto-sync synchronizes your accounts on the device with
your other accounts such as Books, Calendar, Contacts, and
more.
1. From the main Home screen, touch
Accounts and sync.
2. Touch the
Auto-synch controls whether changes made to
information on your device or on the web are
automatically synchronized with each other.
Data and Synchronization
To manually synchronize information:
1. From the main Home screen, touch
Accounts and sync.
2. Touch an account to synchronize, then touch Sync now
which synchronizes all the data selected for this
account.

Touch the account data to synchronize, such as,
Calendar, Contacts, Gmail, and more.

OFF / ON icon to turn off Auto-sync.

Location Services

You value your privacy, so by default, your device only
acquires location information when you allow it. To use
Location-Based Services, first enable location services on
your device.
1. From the main Home screen, touch
Location services.
2. Touch any of the following options to place a
checkmark and activate the service:
• Use wireless networks: Enables location information using
the wireless network.
Important! You must enable the Use wireless networks option
or enable the GPS satellites.
• Use GPS satellites: allows applications to use GPS to pinpoint
your location.
• Location and Google search: allows Google to use location
data for improved search results and other services.
