XT9 auto-substitution: Manage the list of words the system
uses for auto-substitution.
• Automatic period: Enable or disable automatic insertion of a
"full stop" (period and space to end a sentence) by touching the
space bar twice.
• Sound on keypress: Check this field to play a sound each time
you touch a key on the keyboard.
• Auto capitalization: Check this field to have the keyboard
automatically capitalize the first letter of the first word after a
period, the first word in a text field, and all words in name fields.
• Voice input: Enable or disable the Voice input feature. When
enabled, choose to enter text by speaking the words, using
Google's networked speech recognition feature.
• Handwriting settings: Changes the handwriting settings.

Recognition time: Set the time it takes for your tablet to
recognize what you write. Choose from 100ms, 300ms,
500ms, 1000ms, or 2000ms.

Pen thickness: Change the pen thickness to 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9
pixels, as the examples demonstrate.

Pen color: Change the pen color to black, red, blue, green, or
brown.

Recognition type: Set the way your tablet recognizes what you
write.

Gesture guide: Displays a list of gesture that can be used with
the handwriting feature.

About: Describes the version, date, and manufacturer of the
handwriting software.

XT9 Advanced Settings
The following XT9 Advanced settings are only available if the
XT9 field was selected.
1. From the main Home screen, touch
Language and input.
2. Touch the icon next to Samsung keyboard.
3. Touch XT9 advanced settings.
4. Configure XT9 using the following settings:

Word completion: Enable of disable automatic word
completion for words matching your text entries.

Word completion point: Choose the number of letters for the
system to use to predict words for automatic prediction.
