Security

The Security settings allow you to determine the security
level for your tablet.
Screen Lock
Choose settings for unlocking your screen. For more
information about using the lock and unlock features, see
"Securing Your Device" on page 13.
1. From the main Home screen, touch
Security.
2. Touch Screen lock for these options:
• None: No pattern, PIN, or password is required. the screen
never locks.
• Swipe: Swipe the screen to unlock it.
• Face unlock: Sets up the device to recognize your face so
when you look at the device your facial features are recognized
and the device unlocks. Note: This is less secure than a
pattern, PIN, or password and another person who looks similar
to you could unlock the tablet.
• Pattern: A screen unlock pattern is a touch gesture you create
and use to unlock your device. Follow the prompts to create or
change your screen unlock pattern.

lock screen. You can also enter text to display on the lock
screen.

• PIN: Select a PIN to use for unlocking the screen.
• Password: Create a password for unlocking the screen.
