• Advanced settings:

Key popup dismiss delay: When you press a key on the
keyboard, a larger blue letter pops up of the key you pressed.
With the delay set to no delay, the popup disappears instantly.

Suggest Contact names: Displays predicted contact names
that match the letters you enter.

Bigram suggestions: Bases word prediction on the previously
entered word and displays those predictions as you type.

Enable recorrections: Set suggestions for recorrections.
–
Keypress vibration duration settings: Sets the keypress
vibration duration using a slide bar. Durations are 0ms -250ms.

Keypress sound volume settings: Sets the sound volume for
key presses. Sound range is 0 - 100.

Swype Settings

1. From the main Home screen, touch
Language and input.
2. Touch Default and select Swype.
3. Touch Configure input methods.
4. Touch the icon next to Swype to configure these
settings:
• Select Input Method: Selects the text input method.
Settings
• How to Swype: Displays Swype help information. Touch a topic
to view the information.
• Personal dictionary: Adds words to or deletes words from
your personal Swype dictionary.
• Preferences:

Audio feedback: Plays sounds as you enter text.

Vibrate on keypress: Vibrates the device on text entry.

Show tips: Turns on helpful tips from Swype.

Auto-spacing: Inserts spaces automatically when you pause
entering text.

Auto-capitalization: Automatically capitalizes the first letter of
the first word in a sentence.

Show complete trace: Briefly displays the Swype trace.

Word suggestion: Suggests possible matching words as you
enter text.

Speed vs. accuracy: Sends the sensitivity of Swype text
recognition.

Reset Swype's dictionary: Deletes all words added to the
Swype dictionary.

Version: Displays the current Swype software version.
