Battery power is
too low to
continue
operation.

cells are shorted
or severely
overdischarged.

used, batteries
are defective, or
no batteries are
installed in the
camera.
The card in the
memory slot is
not a memory
card or is not a
supported
memory card.
The camera does
not have a
memory card
installed.

Solution
Replace or recharge
batteries, or use an
optional HP AC power
adapter.
Purchase new batteries.
Retry charging the
batteries a couple of times.
If that fails, purchase new
batteries and try again.
Ensure that the memory
card is the proper type for
your camera. (See
Appendix C:
Specifications
page 135.)
Install a memory card.
