DHCP Reservations
As a DHCP enabled device, the DIGI-HDMI-4X2 will automatically receive an
IP address. However control systems require that devices have a fixed IP
address on the network. You can configure a DHCP reservation in your DHCP
server when you need to reserve a permanent IP address assignment for your
matrix.
This section describes the steps necessary to assign a DHCP reservation. The
intended audience is network administrators. If you are unable to complete this
procedure, provide the information collected in steps 1-3 to your network
administrator.
1. Verify that you are able to control your unit using the NetCtl utility as
described above.
