Basic hardware procedures
Ê Inform the system administrator that the server will be shut down and put
offline.
Ê Terminate all applications.
Ê Perform the required procedures described in the preliminary steps of each
upgrade or maintenance task.
Ê Shut down the server.

If the system is running an ACPI-compliant operating system, the
pressing the On / Off button will performs a graceful shutdown.
Ê Switch on the ID indicator on the front and rear connector panels of the
server as described in section
4.3

Ê Pull out on the locking lever on the cable tie (1) and loosen the loop (2).
Ê Disconnect the power cord from the power supply unit and remove it from
the cable tie.
