DHCP If a DHCP server is available, enable DHCP to assign IP addresses
automatically.
IP Address If not using DHCP, enter an IP address manually.
Subnet Mask Set a subnet mask.
Default Specify the IP address if the default gateway if it exists.

Primary DNS Specifies an IP address for the primary DNS server.

Secondary Specifies an IP address for the secondary DNS server.

Ethernet You can improve data transmission speed by increasing the maximum
Frame Size amount of data that can be sent at once.

• 4102 bytes (Jumbo Frame)
• 7422 bytes (Jumbo Frame)
• 9694 bytes (Jumbo Frame)
Port Trunking Set this option to connect 2 Ethernet ports to the TeraStation. The
following settings are available:
Disable: Do not use port trunking.
Round-robin policy - Sets a round-robin policy for fault tolerance and
load balancing.
Active-backup policy - Sets an active-backup policy for fault tolerance.
XOR policy - Sets an XOR (exclusive-or) policy for fault tolerance and load
balancing.
Broadcast policy - Sets a broadcast policy for fault tolerance.
Dynamic link aggregation - Sets an IEEE 802.3ad dynamic link aggregation
policy.
Adaptive transmit load balancing (TLB) - Sets a Transmit Load Balancing
(TLB) policy for fault tolerance and load balancing
