Drive Carrier LEDs

The SC119 chassis uses SAS/SATA hard drives.

SAS/SATA Drives

Each SAS/SATA drive carrier has two LEDs.
•
Green: Each Serial ATA drive carrier has a green LED. When illuminated, this
green LED (on the front of the SATA drive carrier) indicates drive activity. A con-
nection to the SATA backplane enables this LED to blink on and off when that
particular drive is being accessed.
•
Red: The red LED to indicate an SAS/SATA drive failure. If one of the SAS/SATA
drives fail, you should be notified by your system management software.

Power Supply LEDs

The SC119 chassis includes redundant power supplies which are hot-swappable,
allowing for the power supply to be changed without powering down the system.
The power supply has an LED on the rear with the following definitions:
Solid Green
Solid Amber
Blinking Amber
(Only for 700W)

Solid Green: When illuminated, the green LED indicates that the power supply
is on.
•
Solid Amber: When illuminated, the amber LED indicates the power supply is
plugged in and turned off, or the system is off but in an abnormal state.
700W Power Supply LEDs
State
System is on.
System is off and plugged in or 5V
standby on.
Power supply internal temperature has
reached 63º Celsius and will be shut
down if the temperature reaches 70º
Celsius.
