Disabling Operational Sounds and the Output of
Light at once
Applicable modes:
This function is useful for recording images in a quiet environment, public facility, etc. or
recording images of subjects such as babies or animals.
Select the menu.
[MENU] > [Custom]>[Silent Mode]
Settings: [ON]/[OFF]

Operational sounds are muted, and the flash and the AF Assist lamp are forced off. The
following settings are fixed.

Even when [ON] is set, the following functions light up/flash.

Operational sounds of the camera, such as the sound of the lens aperture being adjusted, are
not muted.
