Step 1
Locating the
Fireplace
Clearance Requirements
The top and back of the
fireplace are defined by
stand-offs.
The heat shield must be
attached as shown if
combustible materials
are placed directly on
top standoffs (Figure 3).
The minimum clearance
to a perpendicular wall
extending past the face
of the fireplace is 7.62cm.
The back of the fireplac-
es may be recessed
into combustible con-
struction, as shown
below.
