Ringing Line Preference

You have Ringing Line Preference, if you can answer a line ringing your station by lifting the
handset or pressing
button associated with the ringing call (flashing LED) to answer the call.
If your telephone does not have Automatic Line Selection, press the flashing [DN] or
first, before using the handset or

Signaling

If you hear a long tone, followed by a caller's voice, you have Voice First Signaling.
Talk in the direction of your telephone
...or answer the call as you normally would using either the handset or
If you hear successive ring tones, you have Tone First Signaling.
