The machine can be connected to a network or directly to a single
computer. This section describes the procedures to make both types of
connection.
To connect the machine to a network, use a network cable (10Base-T or
100Base-TX).

Press the Power Switch located
on the rear side of the machine to
Off (
), and remove the power
cord from the outlet.

Connect the network cable to the
Network Interface Connector on
the rear side of the machine.

Connect the other end of the network cable to your network device (hub).

Program the required network settings. Refer to Network Settings on
page 3-11.
To connect the machine directly to your computer, use a parallel cable or
a USB cable.
IMPORTANT: Always power off the machine (
cord from the outlet before connecting the printer cable.
