If a certain resolution is chosen and enough memory is not installed in the
printer, the file is printed using the next lower resolution that can handle the
job. For example, if you attempt to print a 4-color simplex high-coverage
image at 1200 x 600 dpi resolution on legal media, but the printer has only
32 MB of RAM instead of the required 64 MB minimum, the file prints at
600 x 600 dpi.
Your printer will print all print jobs at the highest resolution that the installed
memory will support.
Basic Functionality
The printer is capable of printing 4-color standard business documents
(simplex and duplex) at 2400 x 600 dpi resolution with the base 32 MB
on-board memory.

Improved Performance or High Coverage

The table below summarizes the amount of system memory (MB) required
to achieve printing at levels of high coverage (such as full-page-size
photographs).
In general, performance improves with increased memory size.
