the transceiver away from the heavy rain, and Never
immerse it in the water. The transceiver meets IP54* require-
ments for dust-protection and splash resistance.
However, once the transceiver has been dropped, dust-pro-
tection and splash resistance cannot be guaranteed due to
the fact that the transceiver may be cracked, or the water-
proof seal damaged, etc.
* Only when the supplied battery pack, fl exible antenna and jack
cover are attached.
Even when the transceiver power is OFF, a slight current still
fl ows in the circuits. Remove the battery pack or batteries from
the trans ceiver when not using it for a long time. Otherwise,
the installed battery pack or batteries will become exhausted,
and will need to be recharged or replaced.
MAKE SURE
to turn the transceiver power OFF before
connect ing the supplied/optional equipment.
