Method of The rotation speed detected by the Hall IC during fan motor operation is used to determine

less than 50% of the maximum fan motor rotation speed.

Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting
Caution connectors, or parts may be damaged.
Start operation.
Does the fan rotate?

Turn off the power supply and
rotate the fan by hand.
Does the fan rotate
smoothly?
YES
Turn the power on and check the
fan motor voltage. (immediately
after restart)
Voltage as rated? ∗

Check the capacitor's continuity.
Is there continuity?

Check Hall IC
Is there an output?

Check the fan motor voltage.
Voltage as rated? ∗

∗ Measure the voltage
between the red and black
lead wires of the fan motor,
and check if the maximum
voltage reaches the rated
