Using the answering machine

Your Image 2001 has a built-in digital
answering machine with a recording time of
up to 15 minutes (including your outgoing
messages).
Faxes can be sent and received while the
answering machine is switched on.
Outgoing messages (OGM's)
Your Image 2001 lets your record 3 different
outgoing messages which are used for specific
occasions. Each message can be up to 20
seconds long.
OGM1 is the standard message which your
Image 2001 plays to callers when set to
ANS/FAX mode (see 'Set the receiving mode,
page 14'). Callers can then leave a voice
message. A typical OGM1 message might be
"Hello, we cannot take your call at the moment,
please leave your message after the tone."
If the answering machine is full, OGM2 is
automatically played instead of OGM1. Callers
will not be able to leave messages. A typical
OGM2 message might be "Hello, the answering
machine is currently full. You can send a fax on
this number or please try calling again later."
50
When your Image 2001 is set to TEL/FAX, you
can have your calls answered by a recorded
message. This is OGM3. You can inform
callers that they can either send faxes or hold
on until their call is answered. A typical OGM3
messages might be "Thank you for calling.
Please hold until your call is answered or, if you
want to send a fax, please do so now."
To record an outgoing message
