Troubleshooting
Problem
Valve does not fit on to the 402.
Valve moves during aspirate or
Syringe does not move properly. Tubing blocked.
Valve sticks

Mechanical Problems

Possible Cause
Valve axle not properly aligned
with the motor drive.
Valve mounting screw not tight.
dispense.
Instrument left unused.
Solution
Ensure that the flat on the axle
is aligned with the drive slot on
the motor.
Check that the mounting screws,
syringe and syringe mounting
screw are all tight.
Check that the inlet tubing or
transfer tubing is not blocked.
Remove the valve (see page 6-2).
Use the valve key, reference
F123674 to turn the valve axle
and turn the key to free the valve.
Do not try turning the axle with
your fingers, it is not possible to
apply the necessary torque.
