6 Installation and AMC+ configuration from the AMC Portal
only one Mobile Subscription Provider at a time are configured. Other existing APs
have to be removed.
6.2 Configure Access Points (APs)
An essential service of the AMC is VoIP telephony. It is therefore crucial to be con-
nected to an access point in order to use the features of your AMC. Please consult the
documentation of your Symbian phone for detailed information.
Important Hints for the AP Configuration with Symbian
• Wi-Fi APs should be configured to use DHCP. Static IP address configuration
can cause connection problems.
• Set the AP-connection option to "Automatic" in the connection manager.
• If you manually disconnect from an AP in the AMC, the AMC will not reconnect
to said AP automatically before a restart.

How to proceed:
• Open the browser of your Symbian phone and type in the URL of the file (alterna-
tively open the link you received via Email or SMS)
• Select Download and confirm
• The phone will prompt you. Mark the check box in front of Set application permis-
sions
• Your Symbian phone will now execute the download, notify you of its success and,
depending on the device, prompt you to reboot the phone.

• Open the Settings in your Symbian's main
menu and click on Wi-Fi
• A list of available networks will be dis-
played below "Choose a Network"
• Click on "Other..." to configure a (new) ac-
cess point
• Then enter all necessary information for
the chosen access point (picture to the
left).
