Note:
All data networks does not mean that a data connetion will be held constantly.
This would drain the battery. Re-registration is done automatically whenever there is
user interaction requiring a system registration (Corporate Phonebook searches etc.).
Also note that this setting is subject to your Packet Data setting (refer to 11.2.2)!
Switching Access Points (APs)
If you would like to switch from one access point (AP) to another while the
AMC is logged in, please disconnect from the currently used AP and recon-
nect to the new one. This ensures that the AMC will return to log in automat-
ically. For changing to a data channel other than Wi-Fi, the option All data
networks must of course also be selected!

11.2.2 Packet Data

Unlike Wi-Fi connections, cellular connections cannot carry data. A data channel is not
necessary to make use of certain services, such as accessing PBX (in-call) features,
but it makes signaling faster. Availability of data channels depends on your provider and
on your contract. Many contracts come with a certain amount of data traffic included
Packet Data.
The Packet Data settings described here allow you to determine if and how the AMC
is allowed to use cellular Packet Data. You can choose to generally disable it for the
AMC (Off ), use it exclusively for HTTP(S) requests (Minimal, i.e. Corporate Contacts
access, HTTPS Callbacks etc.), or allow its usage only in your provider's network (Local
Network ). To use it whenever needed for a system registration (no Voice over 3G) set
this to Dynamic.
Local Network + Roaming = Minimal
Please note that while in roaming in other provider networks and while the
setting Local Network is active, the actual usage of the cellular data channel
is done according to the setting Minimal, i.e. registrations are not possible
and only HTTP(S) requests are allowed.
