14 FAQ
14 FAQ
The following gives some information about reoccurring issues with the AMC running
on Symbian.
14.1 IP Addresses or Domain Names
You should use IP addresses or DNS names for all hosts and servers throughout your
mobile phone! This includes settings in native and other additional third-party appli-
cations such as the AMC. If this is not done consistently, unexpected behavior might
occur.
14.2 TLS Certificates
There is one known issue with the Symbian application regarding TLS certificates. If
certificates are used with the AMC Solution in your corporate network, these certificates
have to be updated when certain settings on the AMCC are modified. If this is the case
the phone will merely give out a "System Error" when the AMC tries to connect to the
AMCC. However, your administrator is advised to inform you if said modification takes
place.
The AMC does not allow for an automatic update of the certificate, so the stored certifi-
cate has to be deleted manually. You should find and delete it in the following directory
(the directory might differ depending on the device):
Tools » Settings » General » Security »
» Certificate management » Trusted site certificates
A new certificate will be offered for download when your AMC connects to the AMCC
for the first time after this deletion.
