D Receiving a Distress call

Whle montorng Channel 70 and a Dstress call s receved:
➥ The emergency alarm sounds for 2 mnutes.
• Push any key to stop the alarm.
➥ "DSC" appears and "RCV DISTRESS" scrolls at the chan-
nel comment ndcator, then Channel 16 s selected auto-
matcally.
➥ Contnue montorng Channel 16 as a coast staton may
requre assstance.

Whle montorng Channel 70 and a Dstress acknowledge-
ment to other shp s receved:
➥ The emergency alarm sounds for 2 mnutes.
• Push any key to stop the alarm.
➥ "DSC" appears and "RCV DISTRESS ACK" scrolls at the
channel comment ndcator, then Channel 16 s selected
automatcally.
