Problem
Nothing lights up
Control unit does not
light up
No x-ray emission
X-ray emission works,
but exposure is too light
or completely white
X-ray emission works,

Cause
Unit is disconnected.
Fuse F1 is burned out or defective.
Circuit breaker is off.
Control unit is disconnected.
Fuse F1 is burned out or defective.
Control unit is defective.
Generator is cooling.
Radiology control key is defective.
Wrong receptor type is being used.
Generator is positioned incorrectly.
Exposure time is too short.
Development time is too short.
Developer is too cold.
Developer is too old or diluted.
RVG key is incorrectly selected.
Receptor is facing the wrong way.
Unit was incorrectly installed.
Wrong receptor type is being used.
Exposure time is too long.
Development time is too long.
Developer is too hot.
Developer is too concentrated.
RVG/film key was incorrectly selected. Verify your exposure settings. (Refer to

Solution
Connect the unit.
Replace the fuse.
Turn on the circuit breaker.
Connect the control unit.
Replace the fuse.
Call a qualified service technician.
Wait for the COOLING message to
disappear.
Call a qualified service technician.
Change the receptor type. (Refer to
Table 22 on page 5-8 and Table 23 on
page 5-8.)
Adjust the position of the generator.
Increase the exposure time.
Increase the development time. (Refer to
the development instructions.)
Heat the developer.
Replace with fresh developer.
Verify your exposure settings. (Refer to
the exposure procedure.)
Reposition the receptor.
Call a qualified service technician.
Change the receptor type. (Refer to
Table 22 on page 5-8 and Table 23 on
page 5-8.)
Decrease the exposure time.
Decrease the development time. (Refer
to the development instructions.)
Cool the developer.
Adjust the concentration or replace the
developer.
