Changing the duration of the beep
When the fax machine is set for automatic recep-
tion and recognition of call type, it operates in the
following way:
if the caller is a fax machine, it will automati-
cally prepare to receive after the set number of
rings,
if the caller is a telephone, it will emit a beep
for 20 seconds after which, if you have not yet
lifted the handset, it will automatically prepare to
receive.
If you wish, you can change the duration of the beep
in the following way:
1.
Make sure that the display shows the initial wait-
ing mode and the date and time.

Changing the silent time
If the silent time set for the answering machine is
shorter than that set for the fax machine, the fax
machine will never be able to receive automati-
cally as the answering machine will answer first and
if it does not hear a message within the set time will
disconnect.
The duration of silent time set on the fax machine
must be such that the fax machine can connect to
the line first.
To change the silent period value set on the fax ma-
chine, use the following procedure:

ing mode and the date and time.
