System Board Removal
Remove the system board per the following steps.
1.
Remove the following components as previously described:
n
top cover
n
expansion boards
n
ISA/PCI-bus backboard
n
3 1/2-inch drive bracket
n
SIMMs installed on the system board.

Remove and label all cables connected to the system board. Appendix A shows the
general locations of the connectors on the system board. Appendix A also
includes the pin assignments for each connector.
Remove the seven screws that hold the system board to the system unit chassis. Re-

move the system board from the system unit.
NOTE: If installed, remove the optional video
DRAM module (see Section 3, Options).
