Description
Fully qualified name of the Active Directory domain controller

Short
The short name or NETBIOS name of the domain. Enter this value only if this is different from your

regular Active Directory domain name. If this is different from your domain name (usually a shorter
NETBIOS
name), enter that name here. Contact your AD administrator about the NETBIOS name.

Note that if you enter an incorrect value for the NETBIOS name, you see a warning message in the UI.

If you see this warning message, leave the domain by clicking on the Leave Domain button (which
replaces the Join Domain button once you join the domain. After leaving the domain, join again with
the right NETBIOS name.
