Custom Views

Avaya Network Management Console enables you to create custom views of your network.
This enables you to design a view of your network based on criteria that are important to you.
For example, you can design a custom view based on the location of devices or based on the
functions that devices perform (i.e., backbone switches, servers, important users, etc.). This
can help you focus on a particular set of devices. The following topics are discussed in this

Note:
Copy, Cut, and Paste functions are allowed in Custom Views only.

Creating Custom Views
To create a custom view:
1. Select File > New > View. The New View dialog box opens.

2. Enter a name for the view in the View Name field.

View names cannot contain periods.

3. Enter a description of the view in the Description field.
4. Click Apply. The view is added to Avaya Network Management Console with the top level
My Network. All devices in the network are added to a branch labeled Unassigned.
