Outgoing Restriction when a Switch is Equipped with a T1/E1 PRI Module programmed as T1 (RBS)
"Outgoing Restriction" is programmed as follows when the switch is equipped with T1 (RBS) lines: -
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
3. Select "System Programming".
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select "Lines".
5. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Outgoing Restriction" is displayed.
6. Select "Outgoing Restriction" option.
7. The menu updates to show all equipped T1 lines (Line 1 - Line 24) and any CO lines equipped (Line 25 -
Line 28) and any VoIP trunks.
8. Select the required line.
9. The extension menu is displayed.
10. Select the extensions to be restricted from selecting the line for outgoing calls.
The default setting is that no restriction is applied.
NOTE: Any T1 lines programmed as DID are not shown when the lines are displayed. DID channels are
incoming only and cannot be selected to make calls.
To Program CO Lines to be used for Incoming Calls Only
Lines can be programmed so that they are not available for outgoing calls to any extension.
Incoming Calls Only when a Switch is Equipped with CO Lines Only
1. From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
3. Select "System Programming".
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select "Lines".
5. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Incoming Calls Only".
6. Select "Incoming Calls Only".
7. Select the lines that are to be used for incoming calls only. Lines programmed for incoming calls only will be
indicated by a "♦".
Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
Incoming Calls Only when a T1/E1 PRI Module is Installed and Programmed as T1 (RBS)
If the T1 lines are programmed as E&M, Loop Start or Ground Start then all the lines programmed as equipped
are shown when "Incoming Calls Only" is selected. See page 97.
1. From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
2. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "System Programming" is displayed.
3. Select "System Programming".
4. Enter the System Programming Password and select "Lines".
5. Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until "Incoming Calls Only" is displayed.
6. Select "Incoming Calls Only" option.
7. The menu updates to show all relevant T1 lines as Line 1 – Line 24.
8. If any CO Lines are installed they are shown as Line 25 – Line 28.
9. Select the required lines to be reserved for incoming calls only.
The default setting is that no lines are programmed.

Incoming Calls Only when a T1/PRI is installed and Programmed as PRI (ISDN)
The PRI (ISDN) B channels programmed as equipped can be programmed so that they are reserved for incoming
calls only. The same applies to any additional CO Lines equipped.
