Remote IP Extension Between FXO and FXS

This application explains how to implement remote extension via IP, using 8FXO and 8FXS
gateways. In this configuration, PBX incoming calls are routed to the "Remote Extension" via
the 8FXO and 8FXS gateways.
Requirements:
One 8FXO gateway
One 8FXS gateway
Analog phones (POTS)
PBX – one or more PBX loop start lines
LAN
Connect the 8FXO ports directly to the PBX lines as shown in the diagram below:

To configure the call, follow these steps:

Lift the handset to hear the dial tone coming from PBX, as if the phone was connected
directly to PBX.
