ZPWY-MAP- Definitions
specific default value
enables you to specify where the TCP creates its dump files. The file name can
be as follows:
[\node][.$volume].[subvolume][.ZZ
You can specify either a specific node name or \*, a generic name representing
the node on which the PATHMON process is currently running.
If you do not specify a node name, the default node for file-name expansion
can be affected by the value you specify for the ZNODEINDEPENDENT field
of the TS/MP START PATHWAY command. For more information on node
independence, see the Pathway/iTS System Management Manual.
specific file name
specifies a specific file name for a Pathway dump for any value other than ZZ.
For example, specifying the unique file name:
$DATA.PWAYDMPS.TCP05
directs the primary TCP to name its dump file TCP05P and directs the backup
TCP to name its dump file TCP05B. Both the primary and backup dump files
are created on volume $DATA using subvolume PWAYDMPS. The P (primary
TCP dump) and B (backup TCP dump) characters replace the last character of
a seven-character name, or are appended to the end of a shorter dump file
name.
If the dump file already exists when the dump operation occurs, the TCP
reuses the existing file by purging the file's information and writing the latest
memory dump.
If a file error interferes with creating a file that you specify, the TCP creates the
dump file on the same subvolume as its program object file and uses the form
ZZTCPnnX for the file name.
System defaults for file-name expansion are based on the value you specify for
the ZNODEINDEPENDENT field of the TS/MP START PATHWAY command. If
ZNODEINDEPENDENT is set to ON and you omit the node name, or if you
specify \* for the node name, the node name used is whatever node the
PATHMON process is running on after cool start.
ZUNUSED
is a filler token and is present only for purposes of backward compatibility with
older SPI requestors.
