Use these Channel Mapping instructions only if your
VCR connected
as shown in Connection
A on the
previous page.

on the remote
control twice to display the main menu.
Only channels that are assigned a VCR Plus+ guide
number
different
than the number
you select
to
watch that channel on your TV require map. A chart
of the assigned VCR Plus+ guide numbers is usually
published
in your local TV listings
or TV Guide.
Check the list of VCR Plus+ guide numbers for your
area to see if any of the assigned
numbers
are
different than the channel number you select on your
TV.
Home Antenna Mapping: If you have connected a
home antenna to your VCR, most channels probably
do not require any map. If the published VCR Plus+
guide numbers
are all the same as the channel
number you select when you watch that station, no
map is necessary. You can skip the map information
on these two pages.
Cable-TV Mapping: If you have connected a cable-
I-V system to your VCR, you will map any channel
that has a VCR Plus+ guide number different than
the number you select to watch that channel on your
-IV.

Press 3 to begin channel Mapping process. The
following display will appear on the TV screen.
o You can
map
channels
from
only
one TV
system(TV or CATV) at a time.
Make sure that you have selected the correct TV
system.
• On a piece of paper, write down which channels in
your TV listings correspond to the channels you
receive.
• Turn on the power of both VCR and TV.
Make sure the TV is set to the VCR output
channel 3 or 4.
• Aim the remote control at the receiver on the front
of the VCR.
