Dirty Video Heads

the camcorder
when the vide{) tape is dirty may cause the heads to clog, producing
noise on the recorded
image or prevent the image from being recorded
at all. Other
things that may cause clogging include recording
in high temperature
and high humidity
environments,
a lot of clust in the air, clamagecl tape, worn tape, long-time
use or dew
fi)rmation.
Video heads becoming
clogged soon after cleaning may be caused by a
damaged
tape. In this case, stop using the tape immediately.
If the vide{) heads
are clogged,
the O indicator
appears
on the
screen
during
recording.
Signs
of clogged
heads
during
playback
include:
mosaic
like noise
on the pictures,
picWres
that
do not move,
or the entire
screen
Wrning
blue.
If using
a cleaning
tape does
not clear
the vide{) heads,
contact
an authorized
RCA
service
center
or your
dealer
for further
aclvice.
