The' camcorder has many advanced features to mak_ _your recording look more
profi'ssiona].
Night Mode
This fi'ature can make dark subjects or areas even brighter than they would be under
good, natural ligllting. Although the recorded image is not grainy, it may have a strobing
effl'ct due to the slow shutter speed.

Press in the Lock button while setting the
POWER swish to CAMERA.
Set tim NIGH[' MODE switch to ON. _/(;_r
MOI)F appears and the picture becomes
brighter.
Press IR LIGH [' button to make the picture
brighter.

camcorder emits infrared Iigbt from the
translTtJtter.
• The picture becomes monochrome.
• Each
press of tim IR LIGH[' button increases
the IR light mode. Set the IR light number
higher for darker locations.

4. When finished using Night Mode, set the NIGHT
MODE switch to OFR
Notes:
Use Night Mode when LIGHT appears on the display.
During Night Mode many of the camcorder's manual functions cannot be used.
The infrared light emitted from the camcorder illuminates up to a distance of
about 10 feet away with IR LIGHT3.
During Night Mode, it may be difficult to bring the camcorder into focus. Try
using a tripod or manual focus.
